Supporting young people not in education, training or work

  • Acorn to Oak Education Online (map)

Nearly 1 million young people are out of education, training and work and families can feel there is not enough support for young people in this situation especially those who had a tough time in the education system, are neurodivergent and/or struggling with their mental health.

Our team has worked with young people to help them start taking steps towards the life they would like and we share how we have been able to be successful in seeing young people start or continue to re-engage with their next steps. Our experiences show that the right approaches need to be relational and individualised based upon each young person's interests, strengths and needs.

We will share practical approaches to supporting young people to reconnect with meaningful opportunities and move forward with greater confidence and support.

Ideal for: Parents, professionals and young adult services.
