What to do if your child is struggling to attend school

  • Acorn to Oak Education Online (map)

Over 1.3 million families are supporting a learner who is persistently struggling to attend school and neurodivergent learners and those with unmet needs are more likely to be finding it difficult to be in school.

This webinar explores the factors that can contribute to attendance difficulties, including anxiety, unmet needs, sensory overwhelm, trauma and burnout.

Participants will gain practical strategies for working collaboratively with schools and supporting children whose relationship with education has become challenging.

We will talk about successful strategies and approaches we see from our work that can help families to support their child’s school to develop an individualised plan for their child based around their strengths, interests and needs.

Ideal for: Parents, carers and education professionals.
