What to do when a school placement breaks down

  • Acorn to Oak Education Online (map)

A school placement breakdown can be overwhelming for families and the children and young people involved. However, there is hope and based upon our experiences in supporting learners and their families we talk through what to take from the breakdown and how to figure out the individualised plan that is right for your learner.

This webinar explores immediate steps, interim education arrangements, local authority duties, emotional support and planning future educational provision. We will also discuss alternatives including blended provision and EOTAS pathways.

Ideal for: Parents, carers and SEND professionals.
