Workshops: Finding a school or college for a SEND learner - 6 week programme - starting on 12th September 2023
This small group interactive workshop for 1 hour per week online (Tuesdays 12-1pm) takes you through the steps our professional school search team takes to find the most suitable educational settings for a SEND learner. This means that you can find the next setting yourself in a more effective and time efficient way.
We take you through figuring out what your child needs, how to evidence this, how to create a long list of relevant schools, creating your own individual shortlist and how to go about accessing a placement.
We cover how you might wish to adapt your EHCP and how to apply for one if needed.
By the end, you will have a personalised action plan to move forward.
The workshop costs £425 including VAT and is limited to 4 families per programme.
This comprehensive 6 week programme will cover:
Figuring out what you need from a school
How to evidence what you need
Considering whether you need to seek an Education and Health Care Plan or need to update your plan
The type of school that may be best
How to create your longlist of schools
Working through the longlist to create the top schools
Planning for next steps and additional help
This will be in a small group (maximum of 4 families) via Microsoft Teams and the group is ready by one of our senior educational specialists. The sessions will be interactive so that you can ask as many questions as you need to
