There are substantial numbers of children and young people out of education and some may have been out of education for some time. It can be hugely stressful for families and unclear exactly what is happening for the young person.

There can also be a culture of blaming families for their child or young person not being in education even though our experience shows that the challenges are the result of a complex ecosystem of difficulties and unmet needs.

Firstly, this on demand webinar is aims to be encouraging and supportive for families and shares ideas about different ways to see education continue.

We also share success stories from families we have worked with where progress has come from working with the young person at their pace and is based upon developing an understanding of each learner’s strengths, skills and interests as much as understanding their needs.
